I started working with exceptional families doing respite care, which influenced me to pursue a certification and degree in Special Education after my undergraduate studies. I worked at a cutting edge inclusive preschool while completing a Masters in Early Childhood Special Education in Syracuse New York, then taught there as well. My husband and I have two kids, we ourselves learned first hand by becoming an exceptional family as well. I have worked part time in special and general education roles while raising and supporting my kids through their learning journeys. I returned to full time work as an aide and now a special education teacher in Texas. I have had the blessing to work with kids and families with many backgrounds, strengths, and needs. I have had the privilege to continue professional development and am taking graduate courses about teaching students with visual impairments at this time. I hope something in my website encourages you in some way as you continue in your learning adventures,
